The Queer Arts Project is a new program of Queer Northwest launching hopefully in summer of 2024. It is meant to be an introductory intersection between the Queer Community and the Arts Community by bridging the two through workshops, events, showcases, lectures, and shows.

In partnership with many art organizations, the Queer Arts Project is setting out to create safe and welcoming spaces for the LGBTQ+ community of Tacoma to come and experience art like never before. When possible, we will have instructors and artists that identify as Queer so that they can share their experience and the perspective that they have had.

Classes and workshops will be free to the public, while some of the shows and featured events might be ticketed or suggested donations. All are welcome to participate and we do not discriminate. We just ask for those that do not identity as LGBTQ+, this is a shared experience in which you are invited into. We will not tolerate hatred, harassment, or any from of bullying in any form from anybody.

Event Schedules will hopefully be posted by June 1st for people to enroll. Class sizes may be limited and capacity for participation is not guaranteed.
